Selling Service Terms & Conditions
Our Simple Agreement for Selling Your Clothes
1. What Happens to Your Clothes:
- We accept clothing, accessories, unopened fragrances, skincare and make-up.
- When you give us your items, you're telling us they're authentic (not fake brands).
- We will not accept any open toiletries for hygiene reasons. We also will not take used underwear or bikini bottoms!
- We set the prices. If you have a specific item that you would like to list for a minimum amount, please let this be known as otherwise we will base the price on market research.
- Your clothes need to be clean and in good shape – no big rips, stains, or missing bits.
2. How We Sell Your Stuff:
- We'll conduct cross-platform and historical research on your items to determine a fair resell value. For our own sake as much as yours, we are committed to trying to achieve the best final sale price possible for your items, though please be aware, that we cannot always match what others may have succeeded in selling an item for.
- We'll take the best pictures we can and then describe each item individually to accurately list the item for sale.
- They will be listed across our selling platforms (this site, Depop, Vinted, eBay, Etsy) based on our discretion for what we think would suit best.
- Please be aware, we are required to list any defects or damage with an item in its description and this can affect the final selling price. Where necessary we may also include photography in the listing as to the nature/severity of damage. This is after we may attempt a repair (see Section 3 below for more information)
- Sometimes we might lower the price to help an item sell if our initial set price has no interest. This is at our discretion and based on multiple tracked metrics for the item (e.g. registered interest).
- We store your items until they are sold.
- We will package and ship your items, packaging is included in the service at no extra cost.
- Things happen - a return may be made if an item has any defect that was previously undetected. We will organise any returns and discuss with you about refunds.
3. Our Cut and What You Get:
- We take 30% of the final price your items sell for. This is after any selling fees are deducted across platforms.
- If your items require any cleaning, we will discuss this you ahead of time before the item is publicly listed.
- If an item needs mending, we ask that you let us know beforehand where possible. We may be able do this for an additional cost (depending on the item and severity of the damage) - However please note, we are not a dedicated repair service and our only mend items that are to be sold exclusively by us.
- You receive your portion of the sale after we deduct our 30% of the net profit (having taken any associated listing/selling fees associated with the item).
4. Getting Paid:
- We'll pay you your money once a month, the recurring date will be outlined once the items have been received.
- If you don't have much money to collect, we might wait until it adds up a bit (i.e. under £10).
- We'll pay you straight into your bank account or through PayPal. Make sure you give us the right details!
- You will receive a full breakdown of the items sold, final price and any fees paid.
5. Who Owns What While We're Selling:
-
Your items are still yours until someone buys them. We are just holding them in the meantime.
- If you want a listing to be pulled from sale and and the item to be returned to yourself; please request this through email and we will work as fast as possible to remove the item from any digital storefront within a 48 hour time period.
- Any costs incurred in returning the item to an address you specify is to be paid by you, and in circumstances where many items need to be unlisted and returned, you may be charged a fee for our time and storage.
- Additionally, if an item sells in the period of which you request a return (48 hours), you agree the item is to be sold under the original terms listed herein (provided the customer is satisfied with the quality of the goods once they arrive).
6. What Happens to Items That Don't Sell:
- We'll try to sell your items for a couple of months, the specific amount of time will be based on interest in the items.
- If they don't sell, we'll ask you what you want to do:
- Get them back: You can have them back, but you might have to pay for us to send them to you or come pick them up. If the items are stored with us for a long time, per your request, we may charge a storage fee also.
- Donate them: We can give them to a charity of our choosing - we work with many charities in this industry within the UK and by experience can determine which items are more likely to be of use to specific partners.
- Chuck them: We can get rid of them for you. We can dispose of your items in line with local recycling/waste compliance procedures as necessary.
- If we ask you what to do with clothes that haven't sold and you don't tell us within two weeks, we may donate them as we cannot store items that are not for sale long term.
7. Agreement to Terms and Conditions:
- By using our services you are agreeing to these terms and conditions in full as outlined above, including any rates and/or additional fees as incurred by you. Furthermore we retain our right to refuse to accept any items we do not want to sell/store/repair as well as our right to decide who we take on as customers to use our services.
